Comments about Shure PG14PG185 Wireless Lavalier Mic System:
I bought this unit originally for wedding ceremonies. Used it at ceremony, where I was set up 40-50 feet from the B&G. During the practice run, it worked flawless picking up the voices clearly. the reciever was on top of my speaker and there was unobstructed line-of-sight between the belt-pack and reciever. During the ceremony, with a fresh 9V battery, a bridesmaide momentarily shifted her position and got between the line-of-sight. This caused the signal to drop out for about 2-3 seconds. The lavalier mic element's vocal tone and clarity was very decent, though not as clear as a wireless dynamic mic. I ended up returning this unit and upgraded to a PGXD14/93. See my review on that amazing unit. If you will be less than 50 feet from the transmitter, this unit should be a decent choice. Setup and use cannot be much easier than this unit. I really do like the choice of XLR or 1/4 inch mic cables.

Q:
I'll be presenting to a group of 50 people in a indoor facility. Is this ALL I need (plus power) or does it need to attach to a computer or anything else?Asked on 9/2/2011 by Anonymous2 answers
A:
Doesn not need a computer. Just this and a speaker system to connect with.
If you have anymore question or need anything else call us up. 1800 268 5520Answered on 9/5/2011 by Jack from Cypress, CAA:
If the speaker is self-powered and accepts a MIC input, then this IS all you will need. Otherwise, you will need to plug this into a mixer. You will need to provide your own mic cable (either XLR or 1/4")as this unit does not come with one. Since it is a lavalier, be VERY careful about getting too close to the speaker(s) as they are more sensitive and prone to feedback more.Answered on 11/9/2011 by DJ-RL from Gulfport, MS
