Comments about Shure PG188PG185 Dual Lavalier Microphone System:
My lodge needed amplification of the officers for some hard of hearing members without spending a fortune on equipment. Shure has the best reputation for producing superior products that are reliable, yet reasonably priced. Having used Shure products for about 30 years I had no reservations about using them in the lodge. The only thing that caused me trouble was setting them up as the instructions were not very explicit as to the assigning of channels for each microphone so as to not interfere with the others..

This unit has 10 channels to choose from. there are no volume control onboard you need you get volume from your mixer and this works fine with no attennas. If you need more range then you would have to upgrade the unit.Answered on 10/26/2010 by Jake Ryan from Cypress
Q:
I am having to upgrade my system, due to the fact it's in the 700 mhz range. At the moment I have a Shure system that is a dual channel diversity receiver. I am wanting to still keep the option of a dual channel receiver but not pay more than $900. I want to know if this a a good replacement system? What other systems do you recommend? I want to stay in the Shure family. What is the range distance on this receiver? Thanks in advance for your response.Asked on 7/1/2010 by Church Media Guy from Sherman Oaks, Ca1 answer
