This is my first wireless mic and after reading other reviews and seeing it in action, I decided to just get it. After using it at a gig for the first time, it impressed me! Not only was it simple to setup but the sound was crystal clear! This is the best mic I've ever owned hands down.

Comments about Shure PGX24SM58 Handheld Mic System W/Sm58 Mic:
I own a multi system mobile DJ company. Because we have more than one system I am always looking for good reasonably priced mics. I cannot say enough good things about this mic. After trying one on a recommendation, and my DJs falling in love with it also, I rushed out and replaced all our old mics with this one. It is simple to use and setup. Sound quality is outstanding, the range is amazing (never had a single dropout at an event since the switch .) Frequency changing is a nice feature. It came in very handy recently when the hall had the same mic plugged in and live to their horrible house PA. We just changed the channel and the problem was solved. The battery life is amazing, we can literally turn it on at sound check and leave it on all night without having to worry about the batteries running out. And the price point is just right. My only gripe it that in my 10 years as a DJ I have never had to sync a mic to the receiver each time I plug it in. But the sync works just like syncing up a wireless mouse so it's fairly simple. and unless you have to change the batteries unscrewing the bottom of the handheld to perform the sync is a bit clunky. So if you or the user isn't familiar with the process it can be a bit of a headache. But overall it's a minor gripe in what is otherwise the best mic I have ever owned, cheap or top of the line.
