Comments about Shure SM86 Cardioid Condenser Vocal Mirophone:
I got one of these on a whim for my son to use with his band. It immediately became his favorite vocal mic. He's tried a variety of both dynamic and condenser vocal mics from Shure, Audio-Tecnica, Sennheiser and AKG, and he just likes this one. I've used it with a couple of other clients and they've all reacted positively to the sound. It's handled road abuse well. Dollar-for-dollar, this is a very good bargain. Definitely to be preferred to my Shure SM58s and Beta 58As.
