Comments about Shure SRH440 Professional Studio Headphones:
I received these headphones as an "equivalent" substitution to the Sony headphones that were supposed to come with my Numark Mixdeck set. It is very annoying that the wire comes out very easily while you move. The cord connects to the left side but it always comes out in the middle of me working on my set. I do not recommend thses headphones. They are a step down from Sony.

I use these for creating mixes, as well as during DJ gig's. I have been very happy with my purchase of this product. Being an active DJ, I have used a variety of brands and this brand has raised the bar with its terrific value partnered with its high quality.

Comments about Shure SRH440 Professional Studio Headphones:
I should start with the caveat that I got these for free for ordering a bunch of stuff. They're a nice set of backup headphones. The sound quality is decent, but not as good as my Sony MDR-V700's. Brand new, they feel great, but they look like the amount of abuse they can take is limited. The thing is, speakers and headphones are no place to skimp. They are THE major factor in your sound quality. No amount of upgrading of the other equipment will do any good if you don't have good speakers and headphones. That's why I said these are good "backup" phones. Your primary headphones should be one of your most prized possessions for which you saved up and got the best.
