I use this to create a satellite speaker system. Connect the receiver to a speaker across the room or in another room. By doing so, you can send the signal from a DJ mixer to the speaker without XLR or speaker wires (you still need an amp or corded power for powered speakers).
For large rooms or areas with high traffic where cables would be a safety issue, transmitting wirelessly is a great option.
