Comments about Shure SM58LC Cardioid Vocal Microphone:
This is the Standard of all Mics.
If you play... You need this.
It is the most durable mic I have. My first one I beat the hell out of until the grill finally broke. Took forever.
HA HA HA.
I saw another review saying chipped a tooth on it. I have too. Remember this mic is stronger than your teeth so if you run up on it pay attention.
I have been performing for about 15+ years
I have had 3 OR 4 SM58S and a couple 57s.

Comments about Shure SM58LC Cardioid Vocal Microphone:
I have been performing for about 12 years now as a vocalist, and I have always used the SM58. This mic is darn near indestructible, sounds great for live performances and is low priced. My mic has been thrown across a room, chipped my tooth, been in a swimming pool, (don't put your mic in water) dropped, stepped on, and although it looks ugly it still works as well as the day I bought it. I recommend this mic to everyone. I can't guarantee that everyone will have the same experience (don't' put your mic in water) but I have never had any trouble with mine.

Comments about Shure SM58LC Cardioid Vocal Microphone:
The SM58 is not what I would consider to be the best sounding mic in my portfolio. It is, however, a rock-solid performer that sounds good and has never let me down. This is a must-have mostly because it's requested by vocalists from time-to-time. So even if you have other vocal mics, like I do, it's a good idea to have several of these available.
