Simply the best. I have went through 3 pairs of $100+ headphones before I landed on these. All previous headphones busted after about 1.5 years. I have had these for three years now and not a problem yet. Extremely comfortable, excellent sound isolation and very clear at loud levels. They are expensive for a reason... and worth it. One thing that sets them apart from the rest is that they come with a parts diagram. My cat decided to chew the cord up and I needed a new cable. I ordered the cable through Sony's website ($100!!) and repaired them myself. No other headphones come with parts diagrams!
These are for professionals only, if you're not going to abuse your headphones, you could get away with using the cheaper units.

These Headphones are the Best set I have owned. I have used a lot of headphones. I am a church sound engineer and can tell you that these are good headphones for the job. They are a bit heavy on the ears weight wise
