I do some occasional DJ and karaoke jobs using speakon-1/4" speaker cables. When one started acting up due to a loose wire I fixed it but realized I had no backup speaker wires with the speakon connectors. I did however have some heavy-duty 1/4 - 1/4" speaker cable. So now I pack an extra 1/4 - 1/4" speaker cable with the speakon to 1/4" adapter. Saved buying another speakon-1/4" cable.
