Comments about Stones Throw Records Stones Throw Serato Time Code Vinyl Pack:

The music on this is good stuff you won't find anywhere else, but can be applied for different situations. I use these for shows, but when I use Scratch I just flip the discs over and go. Clear vinyl and Stones Throw Slip Mats make my decks looks beautiful. If you're looking for a Serato Control Vinyl, I recommend these. I do recommend that you get some Disc Sleeves because they aren't included.

Comments about Stones Throw Records Stones Throw Serato Time Code Vinyl Pack:

I bought this because i both needed new serato records and love stones throw, but... The beginning of the serato side skips forward. It looks like the outside bead is too high or too close to the beginning of the serato groove. I will probably keep this record because of the tracks, but will have to buy other new serato timing records.

Comments about Stones Throw Records Stones Throw Serato Time Code Vinyl Pack:

    The control vinyls:
    1. Look NICE
    2. Are a little heavier than the stock Serato ones
    3. Since one side of each is music, you are losing the second control side that is present on most Serato Control vinyls. Ordinarily, side B is timed 5 minutes longer than side A, if that matters for you.

    The Slipmats
Also, Look NICE but are not the slickest I've used. This is a matter of preference, you have to find the kind of slipmats that suit you.

In the end, I've opted to use these slipmats under clear or clear red Serato control vinyls so you can still see the slipmat logos. Has a real nice look, and the advantage of two sided control vinyls.

Comments about Stones Throw Records Stones Throw Serato Time Code Vinyl Pack:

PRO's: Tracks are dope (different track on each record), recs look fresh (glazey-seethrough-white) and they comes with a pair of Stone Throw Slipmats! Not to mention they got that Official Serato Control Tone on the B-Side of each record.

CON's: The packaging they come in is made up of cheap plastic, so don't be surprised if they're poking out of the sides when you recieve the recs. Also, two problems with the slipmats: 1) They're WHITE! Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they will get dirty quick, and 2) I found that in some cases (not all), the gold ink used in the screen printing of these slipmats, will sometimes rub off pieces of glitter into the record (noticible when held up to a light).

Besides that, these are some dope records and if you're a fan of Stones Throw, these are definitely a great addition to your collection.

                      A:

Time code is the signal that communicates with a virtual software. In this case this record has the time code for Serato Scratch Live use.

                      A:

The time code on the vinyl is what Serato Scratch Live uses to track your placement/movements on the record and translate that action to the mp3s the software is playing. This is commonly how DJ software that connects to turntables is done. If you're not a Serato owner/user, the time coded side of the vinyl is useless to you. But you may still be interested in this pack for the slipmats or as a collector's item if you're a Stones Throw fan.
