If you want a set of headphones that will last, without breaking at the joints, then you need to get these. They are loud, but the high end could be a bit louder but overall good. I like some weight on the headphones, but other fellow DJ's felt they were a bit on the heavy side. The ear cups are big enough to cover your entire ear and they are also sealed to keep out sound.

The sound is relatively good with these headphones. I've been a DJ for over 30 years and have owned many headphones. I've owned these set for about 3 years, but I have only used them occasionally when I'm mixing and sometimes to watch TV late at night. The big problem with these headphones are the joints of the cups with the headpiece. These joints are made out of plastic and they break very easily, leaving the cups hanging by the wires. Plastic is too soft of a material for a joint that will take a lot of resistance. They should have used metal for such an expensive gear that they call "professional DJ headphones."

Comments about Technics RPDH1200 DJ/Remix Headphones:

I've been a dj for 25+ yrs. & have used all kind of headphones. I have just gone through my 3rd pair and have had only two problems: The plastic will break after repeated use (no matter how well you take care of them) and just recently one of the speakers blew (go figure) from just being plug into my mixer. Over all they aren't a bad set of headphones. To make a long story short I will get another pair but as a back up. They feel good and they do what I need them to do the way I need them to do it.

I use this product for clubs and recording. These headphones have excellent sound. I had them for 2 years almost and they are still in perfect condition. It comes with a little bag to keep them in also. The only con is that they are tight around the neck, if you have a big neck like me. Overall i would recommend these to a friend and professionals.

I have had these headphones for little over a year and about the second month I had them the right earpiece went out I NEVER EVEN HAD THEM LOUD. Today while Im cueing a record to play i reach around to take them off and BOTH sides of the armiture crack leaving both ear pieces hangng by wire. I would NEVER recommend these headphones to anyone for 170 dollars, these headphones are a disgrace to the Technics brand.

I thought they would last due to the brand that they are, Wrong. Where others have problems with the plastic piece on the ear cups, mine cracked in the middle of the headband. I had them for about 6 months when this happened. The material on the ear pads also cracked.

Comments about Technics RPDH1200 DJ/Remix Headphones:

I have previously owned the Sony 700 and Pioneer headphones and experienced the common problems of the craked piece on the ear cup.

These headphones have a very solid metal construction, which makes them a bit heavier, but I have not had any problems with comfort while wearing them during 4 or 6 hours shows.

The sound quality is also great. I mix entirely in my headphones rather than using a monitor, so sound isolation is also very important to me, and these have been up to the task.

These are by far the best headphones I've owned.
