The highly professional VCI-100 features a built-in JOG wheel built with the sensor and control technology found in Vestax turntables. It also features a variable curve generator that controls the crossfader curve from the hardware with original faders. The VCI-100 is built withhigh quality mechanical parts and a PCB designed for accurate and stable operation.
Features:
- 90 parameters of various software are assignable to the VCI-100s control section via USB MIDI IN/OUT.
- The JOG wheel is constructed with a high-resolution pulse sensor; touch sensor and acrylic platter mechanism. With this combination, operations such as pitch bending, scanning and scratching can be performed with speed and accuracy.
- The resistance value of the fader movement is AD converted and sent to the software along with curve information created by the CPU inside the VCI-100. Therefore, you can adjust the crossfader curve to your preference whether or not the software you use has curve control.
- The DATA SEND LED and JOG wheel SENSOR LED provides clear visual of the current status to assist in an authentic play mode in real time.
- The power source is selectable from USB bus-power and the exclusive power adaptor. (For best performance and stable operation, please use the power adaptor if the computers power capacity is low or if using a USB hub)
- There are no issues if you dont have software to operate. TRAKTOR LE (Native Instrument Inc.) is bundled to the VCI-100 with exclusive control assignment files.
- The VCI-100 provides simple plug & play working with Apple and Windows computers.
- Compatible with all software that allows MIDI control assignment. Each softwares samples of MIDI control assignment files will be available at the Vestax website.
- The metal body is almost the same size as a standard Laptop, thin but highly durable, compact and convenient for transpor tation.

I use this with VirtualDj and it performs flawlessly. This is a well manufactured product that takes a beating. It is very transportable and very well documented on the web. The only complaint I have is it does not have a built in sound card.

I have to say that this is the best midi controller currently on the market for use with various software dj programs.
I currently use the unit with NI's Traktor 3.2, and it interfaces perfectly.
the build quality is fantastic - the unit must weigh 10 lbs. the jog wheels work great - touch sensitive with no cue slippage in traktor! i would say that complex scratching is very possible (even though i'm not that good) and the wheels have a great feel. the faders and knobs are nice and smooth - the upfaders stiffer than the cross fader.
the overall layout is really nice with every button being used for a function in traktor. this is a must buy for dj's who use traktor.
