This Yamaha sub packs tons of low frequency punch! If you've ever put together a high-performance sound system, you know that it involves careful amplifier and speaker matching and configuration. Yamaha has taken care of that so you can get directly to great sound. The MSR800W powered sub can be used to build any sound system from modest to massive. Plus, it's so attractive that it can be placed as-is in many permanent installations without requiring any cosmetic cover-up. Of course, the MSR800W is rugged enough for the road, too. This powered subwoofer has 500 watts driving the 15" low frequency loudspeaker. It delivers those coveted 40Hz-120Hz frequencies with precision and authority. The perfect go-with for the MSR800W is the Yamaha MSR400 2-way powered system. It can be stacked or pole-mounted on the MSR800W subwoofer.

Comments about Yamaha MSR800W Powered Sub 15 800 Watts *:
Very un-happy. Am looking for a set of dual 18"....anyone have any input for me on what to get. These subs are great for SMALL parties, but by no means put out like anyone would want for an average crowd, high school dance, or wedding. These subs clip when the DB is barly lit on most of the hip-hop songs that require good low-end response!

Comments about Yamaha MSR800W Powered Sub 15 800 Watts *:
Don't be fooled. It sells as a 800 watt but in reality it's a 500 watt RMS speaker.
The frequency controler botton does not work. It keeps the sound the same. You may have to replace the frequency controler which will void your warranty.

Comments about Yamaha MSR800W Powered Sub 15 800 Watts *:
If you looking for a bass speaker to give you that fat bass sound this is not the speaker for you. (don't let the 800 watts trick you). It sounds more like a 250watts speaker.
