As a mobile DJ for 18 years I've always wanted to add more bass. I added two of these big boys and drive them with an EP2500. They filled the small town prom up and bounced the Elks Lodge floor at 1/2 power. They are, however, bulky and tough to get your arms around (the 70+ lbs isn't the issue, they're ergonomically tough to pick up without help.) As a first pair of subs purchas, I've done the homework and am very satisfied.

I have 2 of these yamaha subs and they are "okay" but when compared to other sub units(like my JBL subs.) My jbl's have a much fuller sound compared to these and are much smaller. Jbl's have more "punch" with the same amount of power.
