When it comes to your studio recordings, you want honesty. In fact, considering how important your art is, you should demand it! That’s why we designed the new B3030A and B3031A Reference Monitors to speak nothing but the TRUTH. Oh, they still sound great hooked up to your stereo or your video surround system, but they were really built with the studio in mind — where every note you play or sing is "under the microscope."   more

One of the coolest things about active loudspeakers is the lack of back-breaking racks of amps, crossovers and EQs that are often required to make passive speaker systems sound almost as good. But that comes with a trade-off - that extra weight is transferred to the loudspeaker, making it difficult for a single user to heave all that mass onto the top of a speaker stand. BEHRINGER's D Series' "Intelligent-Design" merges the best features of active loudspeakers with significantly lower weight by using switch-mode power supplies and Class-D amplifier topology. Hidden deep inside each enclosure is the equivalent of an active 2-way electronic crossover, graphic EQ, parametric EQ, mic preamp, limiter and two Class-D power amplifiers, yet overall weight is less than comparable loudspeaker systems! These components work together seamlessly to provide optimum sound quality - and it all takes place automatically, without you having to touch a single knob.  more

Power amps have always been heavy, mainly because of the massive transformers and huge banks of capacitors needed for high-power operation. In fact, six conventional power amps in a rack can easily top 250 pounds. The same number of EPX Series amps come in at just under 134 lbs./61 kg, and they pack all the power of their conventional counterparts!  more

Anyone who’s owned Mackie’s SRM450 portable active loudspeakers knows why they became the de facto industry standard. With their ingeniously conceived active design, right out of the box, they sounded incredible and performed flawlessly—no EQ needed. As a bonus, they were durable and affordable, allowing struggling bands to put on great-sounding shows night after night, without breaking the bank. So it makes sense that it took the same folks behind the SRM450 to create a portable active loudspeaker that delivers even better sound, portability and performance: the SRM450v2.  more
