I have a pair of klipsch kb 15 book shelf speakers rated at 85 watts per cha. Will the Gemini xga 2000 do the job? Carlos
BEST ANSWER: I Have one of these amps myself using for a pro audio installation for rear fill speakers on one channel & a pair of MC-8's on the other... this is a very versatile amp for the money & will work well for your speakers as long as you don't drive them into clipping... no pun intended :-)

Can I connect my Numark Mixtrack Platinum in this amp?
BEST ANSWER: ISMAEL CARRILLO is correct. As long as you the appropriate cables to connect the Numark Mixtrack Platinum 4-Deck DJ Controller (Item #96678) through 1/4" or XLR, it should work with the Gemini XGA2000 2-Channel 2000W Power Amplifier (Item #74738) no problem.

I have this unit, just bought it. I want to amplify a microphone to 2-15 inch speakers but I dont get any sound? Any suggestions? Could my mic or mic wire be bad?

It definitely could be your microphone or cable but there are different factors in determining what is wrong. I have 2 15" dual cabinets,DFX model # Mag 215 will this Gemini be enough juice for them they are 500 watts per speaker
BEST ANSWER: The spec only indicates 90 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms. It'll run your speakers, but you'll never get them to anywhere near full power. That "2000 watt IPP" rating is a crock, totally useless.

What are the best speakers to use with this unit?..watts maximum?
BEST ANSWER: Really, you should buy your speakers FIRST, then get the amplifier best suited for the power handling and application of the speakers.
This amplifier is rated at 2 x 90 watts at 8 ohms. You should buy an amplifier with twice the wattage of your speakers' handling power. So really, this amp is best for small speakers such as monitors, multi-speaker systems like background music, etc. Speakers with a maximum of 50 watts (8 ohms) would be well suited for this amp.
Again, let me suggest that you buy your speakers first - based on intended application - Main (Front of House) speakers, monitors, etc, and your use - DJ, band, house of worship - permanent or mobile, etc.

I'm looking at purchasing this amplifier to run a Gemini PS3 3-channel 10" DJ mixer (item #82367) through it to two Gemini GT-1004 10" Trapezoid Speaker (item #74339) for a home audio system, and I'm planning on just running like a TV, my computer, and my electric guitar amplifier through it. Would this unit be sufficient to power this setup?
BEST ANSWER: The Gemini DJ Mixer is powered so it does not require a power amp.
This power amp is too powerful for this setup with two speakers. You dont really need 2000 watts of power unless you plan on adding more to your setup. This can actually damage your speakers if you put too much power through them. Here is a good unit that is a little more money but a better product all together and fits your needs more.

I have 2 15" speakers that run 300 watts RMS and 600 watts Peak at 8 Ohms. Will this amp work for me?
BEST ANSWER: Below are the power outputs at 8 ohms for this amp. Based on these stats I do not believe this amp will be able to power your 15" speakers sufficiently. Call for other amps that will 800 945 9300.

BEST ANSWER: ohms are a unit of electrical resistance equal to the resistance between two points on a conductor when a potential difference of one volt between them produces a current of one ampere . Powered speakers don't need an amp, its already built in.

This amp is perfact for the small dj Easy to use and plenty of power. the only bad thing I see is the banana clip wire on one clip needs to be switched in order to make the negative and positive conecton.

For the price of this Gemini amp you may not feel as comfortable having a crown amp or something along those lines but I run this into my CD-Mixer and 2 JBL JRX 115's! and it works fantastic! amps are where you can cut back on your budget if your starting out and looking to save and thanks to PSSL i was hooked up with this unit and so far am completely satisfied. Thanks PSSL.

Never buy these amps...
These amps are the worst ive ever delt with i have no idead where they get 2000 watts at 8 ohms they only send out 90 per channel. i bought the 2000 and the 4000 and just fried the 4000 due to only getting 350watts at a 4 ohm load. Don't waste your money trying to go cheap, spend the money on a reliable product.
