ETC

ETC was born out of a lofty goal set by a college student in 1975. Fred Foster told his college professor that he was going to make a lighting console and sell it to the Metropolitan Opera House (the Met). A year later, Fred, along with friends, reveled the Mega Cue – the lighting console that started the ball rolling for one of today’s most respected lighting manufacturers.

2020 was the year that ETC celebrated its 45th anniversary and in looking back, there is no denying that the company has evolved greatly to become a global leader in the manufacturing of lighting and rigging technology. ETC boats over 1,200 valued employees in 16 corporate offices around the world.

Proud of its industry reputation for unrivaled technical and customer service, ETC has built a family of over 300 authorized service centers throughout the world, staffed by hundreds of certified technicians, ensuring that customers are never far from an ETC resource with a face and a name. ETC strives to develop the most professional tools and to make them easily accessible to everyone. Their products can be found in small and large venues worldwide, such as theatres, churches, restaurants, hotels, schools, television studios, casinos, theme parks, and opera houses.

ETC acknowledges that its employees as the backbone of the company and in order to reward the employees for dedication and loyalty, ETC decided in 2015 to become partially employee owned, awarding shares of stock over a 10-year period as part of a stock ownership plan. This expansion of ownership solidified ETC's future as a privately owned, independent company, a company where the culture can be passed down from generation to generation, a culture where employees come first, where family is number one, and where customer service means treating everyone as they should be treated.

The best selling ProSound and Stage Lighting (PSSL) fixtures by ETC are the Source Four Junior and Source Four Junior Zoom. The power of Source Four comes in a compact and economical size with the smaller-scale Source Four Junior. It uses the same technology that made the standard Source Four famous, unsurpassed imaging and beam quality. Compared to many conventional 650W and 1000W ellipsoidal spotlights, Source Four Junior’s 575 watts still deliver an even brighter light and offer the flexibility of multiple HPL lamp options and interchangeable lenses. The Source Four Junior is perfect for -- but never limited to -- smaller theater venues, churches, schools, industrials, and any other application where affordability, space-savings and great performance are the criteria. If you're looking for the field-angle versatility of a zoom ellipsoidal with the affordability and design of a smaller fixture, then you're looking for the Source Four Junior Zoom. Great for application on the small stage or in clubs, retail events and industrials, the Source Four Junior Zoom boasts rugged ETC fixture construction and all the celebrated precision optics of a Source Four.
