Meyer Sound’s ULTRA-X20 self-powered full-range loudspeaker delivers the point source technology from ULTRA‑X40 to a smaller, lighter footprint, ideal for installed and portable applications where size and weight are critical factors. Whether used as a compact main system or as fills or surrounds in a larger system, count on the ULTRA-X20 to deliver high power output, low distortion, and consistent polar response in any configuration.
ULTRA-X20 is powered by a three-channel, 860-watt peak Class D digital amplifier with a sophisticated DSP package including electronic crossover, correction filters for phase and frequency response, and driver-protection circuitry. Phase-corrected electronics ensure flat acoustical amplitude and phase response for exceptional impulse response and precise imaging.
Meyer Sound’s ULTRA-X40 brings the technology breakthroughs in our flagship line arrays to a versatile, compact loudspeaker. Its innovative concentric-driver configuration couples two 8-inch cone drivers to a rotatable waveguide surrounding a 3-inch high-frequency compression driver, to deliver smooth response across its entire range and directional control down to 400 Hz.
The ULTRA-X40 breaks new ground in power-to-size performance, thanks to its ultra-efficient 3-channel Class D amplifier that provides peak output of 1,950 watts with a max sustained current draw of just 1.3 A (230 V AC). All this in a speaker that's just 12.5 by 22 by 14 inches and less than 55 pounds—20 pounds lighter than its predecessor, the UPA-1P.
