Description

Bassboss CCM112-1200 12-In Powered Floor Monitor

A very compact bi-amplified, self-powered multi-angle wedge/utility monitor. The CCM112 monitor can also be mounted on a pole stand to be used as an extremely size-conscious main speaker or DJ monitor.

Why Choose a CCM Monitor?Sound heard to the left, right, above and below the speaker is very consistent. For the audience, this means better quality sound across the entire listening area. For the performer this means less peaky response and fewer problems with feedback relative to where the microphone is moved.

Very consistent sound across the broad 80-degree conical coverage pattern of the speaker is delivered because of the true point-source nature of the co-axial design. Any speaker that has the tweeter horizontally or vertically offset from the mid-frequency driver produces very different response as one moves through its coverage area from the tweeter side to the woofer side. This is due to the different distances the sound has to travel to reach the ears. This issue is eliminated in the CCM112.

Musicians love this monitor. To ensure the best possible performances, the players need to hear themselves clearly, cleanly and concisely. The CCM112 was designed to provide the high and mid frequencies that performers rely on to bring their best.

Bassboss Tops and MicroMains are optimized and protected for safe, high-power operation.

All Bassboss loudspeakers are complete systems. Optimized cabinet design, premium quality drivers, power-matched amplification and comprehensive processing ensure that no matter the demand, they keep their cool, keep their character and keep on working.

Hand-Built Cabinets

The CCM112 Monitor has a smoother, more intelligible response on stage due to its point-source design. This allows greater gain before feedback.

It is extremely compact, so doesn’t get in the way of sight lines of the performers. The extra area that the tweeter would ordinarily take up on the front of the speaker is eliminated. Instead the tweeter exits through the middle of the woofer, making it possible to make the cabinet barely bigger than a 12? woofer yet still incorporate a compression driver and horn, a 700W amplifier and an integrated digital signal processor in a single cabinet.

The CCM112 has 4 angles in which it can be placed. It can be used as a floor monitor for a standing performer, or as a floor monitor for a seated performer. It also has a shallower angle that’s useful if the CCM112 is to be used as a drum monitor on top of a drum sub, or on a table as a DJ monitor. Finally it has a flat placement side for use as a straight-ahead front fill. On the same surface it includes a pole socket mount for mounting on a tripod speaker stand or a pole above a socket-equipped sub, for use as a main PA speaker.

Prodigious Amplification

The amplifier consists of 2 channels with a total of 700W. The amplifier features extremely high dynamic power capacity, with 120 Volts peak output per channel, along with high damping of >10,000:1 Efficient, PFC power supply and class D output topology.

Exceptional dynamic resolution and detail along with precise control. Low current draw and light weight relative to the output capacity.

All the processing necessary for linear frequency response and phase coherent operation are pre-programmed into the DSP. With the comprehensive processing built in, Bassboss loudspeakers provide the ease of plug-and-play operation and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the multiple limiter systems make to system virtually indestructible.

Rugged Drivers

The CCM112 features a 12" woofer with a 2.5" voice coil and a 1" exit compression driver. The high-frequency horn is concentric within the woofer, making it a true point-source cabinet. The woofer’s power handling is 250W RMS and 500W program. Amplification is provided by a 700W, 2-channel Powersoft module with integrated DSP.

Any speaker that has the tweeter horizontally or vertically offset from the mid-frequency driver produces very different response as one moves through its coverage area from the tweeter side to the woofer side. This is due to the different distances the sound has to travel to reach the ears. Thanks to the co-axial construction of the CCM112 driver, the path length difference between lows and highs is the same in any direction, allowing extremely consistent off-axis response regardless of which direction you move away from directly on center.

The cones are waterproofed to protect them from possible, accidental exposure to moisture such as rain or spilled beverages. Waterproofed woofer cones also permit the cleaning of drivers that have been soiled in a dirty or dusty environment with the use of a damp cloth. Keep the amplifiers dry and party on!

Waterproofed cones in all products. Optional weatherized and weather resistant loudspeakers have the same acoustical performance as their standard options. If your system is likely to be exposed to rain, ask about IP rated amplification options. If you have need of a system for outdoor installation, ask about Weatherized products.

Focused Tuning

Bassboss speakers can be connected directly to your mixer with nothing but signal cable in between. The built-in processing is comprehensive and includes all necessary high-pass and low-pass filters along with equalization and phase alignment processing to ensure coherent response when deployed with Bassboss subwoofers.

There is no need for any additional EQ in the signal path for the speaker to provide a broad, flat frequency response. Sophisticated DSP programming ensures the speakers deliver consistent sound quality no matter the input level.

Plug-and play with peace of mind. Multiple, sophisticated protection systems make the loudspeaker virtually indestructible. You can turn on and turn up, all night, without fear of over-driving to the point of damage.

True Specifications

Bassboss technical specs are based on measurements of continuous performance in normal usage. Other manufacturers may specify output based on calculations rather than measurements; measurements outside the operating bandwidth; or on ‘Burst’ or ‘Peak’ readings.

Bassboss specifications are conservative compared to most manufacturers. They reflect what the products will achieve, consistently, in the real world. Since the real world is where you’ll be using your gear.
