This enclosure also features exclusive Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology for dramatically reduced horn distortion and a much clearer sound. Peavey has applied this patented technology with an innovative concept of asymmetry; the quadratic horn aims sound directly at the audience, not over their heads.
The rugged 9-ply baltic birch construction utilizes extensive internal bracing for tighter bass response while reducing weight by an average of 25% to ease load-in/load-out situations. The SP3 speaker also includes 1/4" and speakon full-range I/O, plus an exclusive, switchable speakon for bi-amp (plug and play). Other hot features include the RX 22 compression drivers with ferrofluid cooling, built-in stand-mount adapters and black carpet covering.
