Laird UHD-2183 series cables lead the industry charge toward 4K HDBaseT content distribution over networks and point to point systems. This shielded cable delivers 4K up to 100 meters and is the only cable to achieve UL 4299 certification for HDBaseT POH (Power over HBaseT). PoH is similar to PoE (Power over Ethernet), but has unique features specific to professional AV installations that involve HDBaseT. When power is run on a twisted-pair cable, the amount of heat generated inside the cable increases, especially in cable bundles. Cables meeting the UL 4299 standard guarantee fire safety and cable performance while successfully transmitting HDBaseT signals - including 100W of power delivery. The ability of 2183 to deliver power means compatible PoH HDMI and SDI extenders won't need power supplies which is convenient for installs at the back of displays and similar locations. Cables are terminated with Platinum Tools 10G shielded connectors ensuring your media is transmitted free of hum and interference.
