I've used these for 2 years now and been really happy with them. I recently bought a few more. They are a very simple light, which probably makes people question their high price, but it's well worth it. They are compact and extremely well built, more so than the chauvet equivalent. I use them at weddings for simple, elegant lighting, or work equally well for more uptempo events, especially in conjunction with a proximal colored par and fog. They work as accents as well. On Saturday, for instance, I used three to light up palm trees at a wedding. My only gripe with the light is that there is no speed adjustment for rotation. I am considering adding a potentiometer to control it. TRICK: turn the rotate on/off switch repeatedly to change direction.

Okay, it will not wash the car, walk the dog, do the dishes or anything fancy at all. However, it is cheap, lightweight and if you have a tall enough truss or T-bar, has a wide enough pattern to substitute for a mirrorball in the rotation mode. It is not sound active, just two modes...static, or slow rotation. If you are looking for a professional mirrorball effect, this is not your answer...however, if you want an inexpensive, easy to set up, LED effect that could be used as a marginal substiture for the mirrorball for slow dances, this just might be up your alley. Is especially good for a mobile DJ who does not wish to set up the mirrorball and spots....this is just one little light and seriously bright for a 3 watt bulb....nice with a hazer or fog, the beams are dazzling
