We picked up four of these for our mobile DJ company and all I can say is WOW! The kids at the High School dances can't get enough of them! These are the perfect combination of power and elegance. They are easy to set up and tear down, especially if you have the wheel kit for them. We power them with 5 Crown XTi 2000 amps and boy do they rip a room apart! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a fantastic sub with a good price.

Comments about JBL Pro JBL SRX718S Series 18In Compact Subwoofer *:
I operated my mobile system with one JBL MPRO418s subwoofer, powered by a Crown XLS-602 amp for a few years. Recently contemplating buying a second sub, or adding more power, I just decided to do a complete overhaul and upgrade big, filling any hunger for bass I could ever have in the future. ("Go big or go home!") I've been in the business quite a number of years so I was familiar with most of the different brands, and I knew I wanted to stay with JBL for their dependability and great sound. (same with Crown.) After a LOT of homework- like, hours upon hours- I purchased 2 of these subs, powering them separately with 2 bridged Crown XTI-4000 amps. Wow... beautifully clean, super-low sound with distinct clarity and (literally) chest-pounding bass. I couldn't be happier. The price tag of the whole project was a little more than I originally planned on, but now hearing the results, definitely well worth it.
One side note: The subs are surprisingly light for 79lbs, but a bit awkward to carry. I just put in an order for the WK-4s wheel kits. The back of the speaker is already pre-threaded for these wheels with stationary bolts in place, so install should be a snap.

I was looking for a new sub for my mobile system. I had a Mackie Sw1801 sub that was killer, but super heavy for one person. Plus I live on a 4th floor apartment. Not cool. So I wanted something light, powerful and 18 inches. I did my research and found the JBL srx sub. Its new woofer technology makes it light enough for one person to carry and strong enough to shake an entire club. The sound is incredible!! I actually get alot more compliments with this Sub than I did with the Mackie. Did I mention I can pick it up myself!! Please note you will need a strong amp to make this thing really bump. Continuous-800watts/ program 1600watts/ peak 3200watts. Look for an amp that can be bridged to 8ohm at 1600 watts for really clean sound.

CUSTOMER CARE
A:
That is available through us. It is a special order item and will take approximately 7-10 business days for us to receive.A:
Many retailers and gear suppliers do not offer the wheel kits in their regular catalog because it is usually a "special order" item, and must be ordered directly from JBL. A google search did bring me to a couple of different sites that offered them for a decent price. Still have to be special ordered, so delivery may take a few weeks.
