Comments about M-Audio KEYSTUDIO Recording Pack w/ Controller:
Much to my dismay... this product has been discontinued. M-Audio made 2 versions of the KeyStudio 49. The original version had an audio interface BUILT-IN that accepted both 1/4"-TRS and XLR inputs. Unfortunately, I got version 2, which was the KeyStudio 49 that was made with an external Micro Interface (that does NOT accept XLR or 1/4"-TRS), but rather a single 3/8" mini-jack! Bummer. The advertised (albeit refurbished) model I bought indicated that I was getting the version 1. So, needless to say... I was saddened when it wasn't. However, this model is the Avid/Pro Tools Edition will suffice for what I will be using it for. I needed a small MIDI controller to compose with in my tractor/trailer rig. Yes... you read it correctly! This composer has had to return to driving across America to support his family... but due to technology, I don't have to miss out on job opportunities in the music world anymore!! You can check the music already created with this "70 MPH Studio"! by doing an internet search for "AKMusic Productions" (also on SoundCloud with the same name)...
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
