Comments about Mackie TH-15A Thump 15 In 2 Way Powered Speaker +:
These speakers sound pretty good, but they clip too easy for my taste. In fact, one of the speakers clipped and shut down...never to work again. The service side of the product has been lacking as well, as I still have a speaker that won't work.

Comments about Mackie TH-15A Thump 15 In 2 Way Powered Speaker +:
I use this for the house, backyard, small function or as a monitor..These speakers are great, the price is reasonable and they are also lightweight. These speakers are great for small parties when u don't feel like bringing out the big boys. I only set the volume level to low or half and it is still loud..I love these, i might get the sub..

I like these puppies but I am disappointed that the low end is not as deep as advertised and at mid to higher volumes they clip. I would definitely add a sub for deeper bass at higher volumes and never increased the volume passed 4.5. Can't wait to use them outdoors!

Q:
can u hang the speaker for the ceilingAsked on 1/26/2012 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
The Mackie Thump TH-15A powered speakers are not flyable speakers. If you need flyable speakers, you could go with the Mackie SRM450v2 speakers.Answered on 1/27/2012 by Todd from Cypress
Q:
I have a Vestax mixer with RCA outs that I want to run this Mackie with 25 feet xlr cables. I was told that I would need a Passive Switchable Direct Box for that long of cables. So I would have RCA cables to Direct box to XLR cables into the Mackie. I asked if I could simply use an XLR-1/4" adapter plugged into the Mackie, I was told no. Is this true?Asked on 5/18/2011 by Kae from Los Angeles, CA1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No because where would you be plugging in the 1/4 inch trs if your Vestax is RCA outs. The best thing to do is go RCA out of your mixer into a DI and then you can go xlr out to the DI to the XLR input on the Thump. Or go 1/4in out the DI to the XLR input on the mackie thump.Answered on 5/19/2011 by Rafael from Cypress CA
Q:
I hear these speakers have a life span of about 6 months what gives. Also I look at the front grill it looks soft cloth which would tear very easy.Asked on 4/18/2011 by RAMBO from MANCHESTER NH1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
These speakers will last as long as how well you take care of them. You can blow a speaker in 1 minute or you can have this speaker for 20 years if you know how to use your speakers. The grill is not made out of cloth and no it will not tear easily.Answered on 4/22/2011 by Anonymous

Yes you can Daisy Chain the signal from one speaker to another. If you are Daisy Chaining all of them, make sure you have stereo sound going to the first speaker, otherwise all speakers will be running mono. Also, all speakers must have an output to daisy chain.Answered on 2/25/2010 by Leroy from Cypress, CA
