Mackie TH15A Loudspeaker
Designed by the same team that produced the best-selling Mackie SRM450v2, the Mackie Thump TH-15A delivers deep low-end and real power in a lightweight design that is extremely portable. Class-D Fast Recovery amplification pushes 400-watts of power to the high-frequency compression driver and bass-pounding 15" woofer. Plus, Mackie Active electronics, including a precision crossover and driver time-alignment provides total optimization for maximum system efficiency. Versatile by design, the TH-15A features a user-adjustable 3-band EQ for tone control and, since it can be pole-mounted or used as a wedge, the TH-15A represents the best value available for a complete stage solution.
More than Just a Powered Speaker CabinetSure, Thump loudspeakers have a built-in power amp—in fact, each have two of them. Our Class-D Fast Recovery low-frequency amp drives the woofer more efficiently with less heat byproduct than other speakers. But so much more goes into a Mackie loudspeaker design than just amplifiers. Mackie Active technology (based on the popular SRMv2 Series) divides the frequencies via a precision 2-way crossover and also time aligns the signals so low-frequency and high-frequency signals arrive in sync to every member of your audience. Active compression provides a first line of defense for the drivers and thermal circuitry protects the amplifiers and power supply should things get too hot. All the onboard electronic systems work together dynamically to produce superior quality sound previously unavailable in this price range.
Portability Meets VersatilityThump loudspeakers are ultra-compact and lightweight, and regardless of application, there's a right Thump for the job. Delivering unmatched low end, that's why they are Thumps. The TH-15A's large woofer is the perfect choice for DJ's who really wanna bump! Thump loudspeakers are superb PA enclosures and also make a superior monitor wedge. Just lay the cabinet on its side and turn it up. The compact, lightweight design means zero strain, whether mounting it on a high pole or loading it up to your vehicle. Ultra-wide frequency response makes them ideal as a keyboard, vocal or even bass guitar monitor. Thump loudspeakers have incredibly smooth response and dispersion over a wide range of frequencies, so you can crank 'em up and they still sound smooth and never harsh.

While not as rich as the SRM 450, this product puts out excellent for the price range that it's in. Also they can be connected to the SRM sub. I use two of these for my Main Out and one SRM 450 as my reference monitor while playing my gigs. I could not be happier! I got two refurbished and in a package deal, it was worth every penny.
My representative Ray was a lot of help and was well educated. If it had not been for his professionalism, I probably would've held off and just bought another SRM 450 (though I'm still planning too).

I use this for the house, backyard, small function or as a monitor..These speakers are great, the price is reasonable and they are also lightweight. These speakers are great for small parties when u don't feel like bringing out the big boys. I only set the volume level to low or half and it is still loud..I love these, i might get the sub..

I bought these because i'm to poor for Eons. I'm not dissapointed though. Will definately be adding subs to the system though, However, when used in conjunction with other speakers the sound quality is just fine and does not leave you wanting.

I like these puppies but I am disappointed that the low end is not as deep as advertised and at mid to higher volumes they clip. I would definitely add a sub for deeper bass at higher volumes and never increased the volume passed 4.5. Can't wait to use them outdoors!

I am mobile DJ and I like using TH-15's in small
venues like weddings, house partys and church function. If you have a large room I will have to add a sub to get that BASS.

these are to hook up and light weight, for being a 15 inch. sound clean with good punchy bass. the bass can start distorting at higher volumes, but you can always get a sub for that...overall its a great product.

The Mackie Thump TH-15A powered speakers are not flyable speakers. If you need flyable speakers, you could go with the Mackie SRM450v2 speakers.Q:
I have a Vestax mixer with RCA outs that I want to run this Mackie with 25 feet xlr cables. I was told that I would need a Passive Switchable Direct Box for that long of cables. So I would have RCA cables to Direct box to XLR cables into the Mackie. I asked if I could simply use an XLR-1/4" adapter plugged into the Mackie, I was told no. Is this true?1 answer
A:
No because where would you be plugging in the 1/4 inch trs if your Vestax is RCA outs. The best thing to do is go RCA out of your mixer into a DI and then you can go xlr out to the DI to the XLR input on the Thump. Or go 1/4in out the DI to the XLR input on the mackie thump.Q:
I hear these speakers have a life span of about 6 months what gives. Also I look at the front grill it looks soft cloth which would tear very easy.2 answers
A:
These speakers will last as long as how well you take care of them. You can blow a speaker in 1 minute or you can have this speaker for 20 years if you know how to use your speakers. The grill is not made out of cloth and no it will not tear easily.A:

A:
Unfortunately these speakers only have XLR ins and outs. But you can get a 1/4" to XLR adaptor change the connection type in case you need to use that style for other clubs.
