This controller is used in small gigs and works perfect. I also use this at home when i want to create mixes and dont want to lug out the turntables. Great product overall..take care of it, and it will take care of you.

I initially bought this and set it up with a PC. It was great for three months but later experienced issues. I called the company and was told that it was not compatible with Centrino. I'm not exactly sure how it worked well for three months if it wasn't compatible but I listened and went out and bought a Mac. I did a gig and the music started to skip and slow down as if it had little power (it was really embarassing). I called the comapany and they said to use a better powered hub. But prior to this it was working well. So I'm going to get an AC adapter for the hub but the typhoon is also USB powered so I'm going to get an AC adaptor for it as well and hope that works. Also, it's not really good for scratching (they should have just excluded that feature) and the cue volume is terrible. It's also very sensitive to bumps, etc. I'll be fair and say this is my first experience with a controller but next time I'm going high end.

It's a great mixer to learn on, and a great deal for the price, although my crossfader is beginning to break after 6 months of continuous use. On the left side it will sometimes not sense it correctly unless i push up on it while i am moving it.

its a good all in one bundle for beginners(meaning you never played with anything prior) best used for back yard barbecue. cons: out the box platter is laggy and sound card have 32ms latency. that means detail scatching won't be possible with this unit. bending or mashing songs together is possible. you can use this as a back up system.

This product is a great entry-level controller. It is easy to set-up, install and navigate. It is fun to play around with if you are a beginner or novice and can certainly teach you the basics of DJing. I wouldn't recommend this to an intermediate of Professional DJ as it lacks many necessary features such as a full range of effects, sampling, and professional software. The plastic chassis can also be seen as a con, as it's structure is subject to wear and tear.

I used my Vestax typhoon out at the bars and clubs in my area. worked like a champ. never had any hard to deal with issues with the equipment. any trouble I did have was easily solved by PSSL and Vestax. Thanks for all the help. I recently had a house fire I have been thinking about the equipment I have to purchase now to get back on my feet and you better believe PSSL will be able to help with all my Vestax, Pioneer, Techniques, Monster, makie, Mac, Rolands, Korg, Cerwin Vagas, Bose and all my other favorite brands of Equipment. thanks for the all the help in the furthering of my career. You guys and girls are the best!!

This is a great entry-level controller. It is great as a piece of hardware to get started on. It is portable and easy to set up. It has an audio interface, making it a great value. The Traktor software is great. It's only drawbacks are a lack of controls for effects. This can definitely be improved.

you cant adjust the crossfade curve with tracktor LE its a lie. i was only able to adjust with traktor scratch demo and that only gave me 30 mins. theres big time lag from the platters when scratching.[...] i should of just canceled my order. bad product from Vestax. surprised me

Used in the home studio and in club gigs, so versitile and fits nice in my laptop bag ;) Set up was easy and using both Traktor & VDJ in a 64 bit Windows 7 environment wasn't an issue either! This product is great for its portability. It is somewhat lacking in controls and there is no comparison between digital scratching versus vinyl. It is fun to play around with and serves as a great entry level controller as the set up is easy and it is easy to operate.

I really like the Vestax Typhoon. I was using Serato for a few years but got tired of lugging turntables to gigs, so this is a great alternative. My only complaint is that the included Traktor LE software is not as detailed and intuitive as I got use to with Serato Scratch. I think once I upgrade to Traktor 3 I'll be pleased. The Typhoon is a really nice piece of equipment and does exactly what I expected it to.
