The E8 is a high performance 2-way multipurpose loudspeaker, employing an integrated coaxial driver. The E8 can be used for speech and music applications as a stand-alone full range system, or incorporated into larger distributed sound reinforcement situations. With the addition of an E12X subwoofer in passive or active mode or any other E-Series subwoofer, it can also easily reproduce higher level music program. The multifaceted shape of the enclosure allows use either in an upright or horizontal orientation as well as deployment as a stage monitor. The 90° x 50° dispersion pattern (h x v) of the horn is easily rotatable through 90° to provide a 50° x 90° dispersion pattern. The E8 cabinet is constructed from polyurethane integral hard foam with an impact resistant paint finish incorporating a handle and a socket to accept loudspeaker stands. The loudspeaker cabinet is also available in Special Color (SC) and Weather Resistant (WR) options. The Weather Resistant option provides an IP54 rating, and enables operation of loudspeakers in changing ambient conditions. Both options are supplied with metal plates in the specified colour covering the handle recesses and loudspeaker stand socket.

The E6 is a relatively small high performance multipurpose loudspeaker, employing an integrated coaxial driver. The horn with its 100° x 55° dispersion pattern can easily be rotated through 90° providing a 55° x 100° pattern without the use of tools. This enables deployment of the loudspeaker either vertically or horizontally. Its distinctive cabinet design and extensive range of accessories allow easy deployment in almost any situation, including stage monitoring. It provides a very compact reinforcement solution that inspires through its sound quality and is also perfectly compatible with the larger E8 and E12 loudspeakers. With the addition of an E12X subwoofer or any other E-Series subwoofer it can also reproduce high level music program. The E6 cabinet has an impact resistant paint finish incorporating a handle. The loudspeaker cabinet is also available in Special Color (SC) and Weather Resistant (WR) options. The E15X-SUB is a compact, lightweight, high performance subwoofer for use with d&b E-Series loudspeakers. The built in passive crossover network allows the E15X-SUB to be operated in parallel to E12 or E12-D loudspeakers on the same amplifier channel, greatly extending the low frequency headroom and bandwidth of the systems. Alternatively it can be operated actively driven by its own amplifier channel without the need for any changes to the subwoofer. In Active mode the E15X-SUB can be used to supplement any of the E-Series cabinets. The E15X-SUB cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact resistant finish, a pair of handles and an M20 threaded flange on the top to accept the d&b loudspeaker stand winder. The loudspeaker cabinet is also available in Special Color (SC) and Weather Resistant (WR) options. The Weather Resistant option provides an IP55 rating, and enables operation of loudspeakers in changing ambient conditions.

The 2 RU four channel D20 amplifier is ideally suited to mobile and installation applications which require low to medium Sound Pressure Level (SPL) capabilities. The D20 features the same Digital Signal Processing (DSP) platform as the latest generation of d&b amplifiers, containing configurations for all d&b loudspeakers except the J-Series and the M2 monitor, plus a linear mode. The signal delay capability enables user definable settings of up to 10 s (= 3440 m/11286 ft), which can be applied independently to each channel. The same applies to the two 16-band equalizers, providing optional parametric, asymmetric, shelving or notch filtering. The D20 incorporates a colour TFT touchscreen, offering quick access to the menu structure, while the rotary encoder can be used for fine adjustment. The front panel and the integrated touchscreen are tilted up for easy operation when the amplifier is below eye level. The equal ratio of signal input to amplifier output channels increases application flexibility particularly for monitor, frontfill or effect channel use. The LoadMatch function integrated within the D20 amplifier electrically compensates for the properties of loudspeaker cable used. The D20 incorporates Class D amplifiers utilizing a power supply with active Power Factor Correction (PFC) suitable for mains voltages 100 V - 240 V, 50 - 60 Hz and maintains a stable output when used with weak or unstable mains supplies. An NL8 provides all outputs on a single connector for loudspeaker multicores. Dual channel mode is driven through four individual NL4 connectors, while Mix TOP/SUB and 2-Way Active mode output configurations for applicable d&b loudspeakers are available via two central NL4 connectors. etherCON and RJ 45 connectors enable access to the d&b Remote network through OCA/AES70 via Ethernet and through CAN-Bus respectively.

The D20 Touring rack assembly

The D20 Touring rack assembly is designed as a fully equipped and prewired system rack, providing mains power distribution, connector interfaces and all internal cabling for three D20 amplifiers[1]. It is equipped with a 32 A CEE mains power connector, a mains distribution device with a 32 A mains link, and a loudspeaker connector panel.

All internal audio and remote connections are fully prewired. A loom comprising two AES3 cables and one CAT5/etherCON[2] is supplied, providing patch cabling for a network connection and four AES3 channels. The D20 Touring rack assembly is provided with either a DS10 Audio network bridge, which comes supplied with all necessary cabling, or a 1 RU drawer.

The DS10 Audio network bridge interfaces between Dante networks and AES3 digital audio signals, while also providing distribution of Ethernet control data. The DS10 can deliver up to sixteen Dante network channels via AES3 digital signal outputs, and is intended to integrate directly into a D20 Touring rack assembly. The front panel of the DS10 is designed to align with the input panel of the D20 Touring rack assembly. The DS10 can be powered by one of the auxiliary mains outputs. All necessary patch cabling and links are supplied with a D20 Touring rack assembly including a DS10.

The 10 RU Touring rack houses a 19" internal shockmount steel frame accommodating three D20 amplifiers and the requisite connection panels. It comes with two sliding doors, a perspex window at the front, four wheels, six handles and recessed stacking moulds at the top.

The DS10 Rack upgrade kit contains everything required to replace the drawer within the D20 Touring rack assembly with a DS10. This kit includes a DS10 Audio network bridge, a powerCON[2] to powerCON[2] mains cable, an Ethernet patch cable and two AES3 XLR patch cables.

*(2x) D&B Audiotechnik Z5350.000 E8 Flying Bracket

The Z5350 E8 Flying bracket enables E8 loudspeaker cabinets to be mounted and set to different horizontal or vertical angles. For this purpose two M8 threaded inserts at the d&b standard spacing of 115 mm (4.5") together with a center M10 thread are integrated in the tie bar of the bracket. The bracket is designed to fit tightly round the loudspeaker to produce the minimum visual impact.
