Radial McBoost Mic Signal Booster

The McBoost is a microphone signal booster designed to elevate the output of a dynamic or ribbon microphone for greater transparency and clarity, and provide enough clean gain to connect to any preamp.

he Radial McBoost provides clean gain at the source for low-output dynamic and ribbon microphones, driving long cable runs with ease and allowing you to connect to any preamp as if it were a high-gain ribbon mic pre. Simply connect the McBoost in-line using standard XLR cables and activate 48V phantom to provide power, then select between three impedance settings to optimize the response from the microphone. The McBoost will elevate the output to produce added clarity, excitement and extra drive for long cables whether you are in a recording studio, on a live concert stage, or in a broadcast center.

  • Class-A dual transistor circuit for transparent operation
  • Powered by 48V phantom power
  • Three-position impedance selector & variable gain
  • Load: 3-position switch lets you adjust the impedance to optimize the signal transfer from your microphone.
  • Level: 3-position switch lets select your output level. Full for 100% gain, half for 50% gain and Vari to set the gain with the rotary level knob.
  • Gain: Variable control lets you adjut the gain of your microphone from 0db to +24dB.
  • No Slip Pad: Provides electrical and Mechanical isolation and keeps the McBoost from sliding around.
  • Power Coat: Durable finish keeps your Mcboost looking great for years.
  • Input: Balanced XLR Femaled Input - used to connect your dynamic or ribbon mic.
  • Output: Balanced male XLR connects to your mixer or preamp. The McBoost derives its power from standard 48V Phantom.
  • Book End Design: Creates a protective zone around the jacks and switches.
