The CME UF8 MIDI Master Controller keyboard is designed for professional musicians to use in the studio or take on the road. As such it has a body that is made of metal. This results in a MIDI master controller keyboard that both looks good and has the strength required by demanding musicians.
It's not just the superior casing that sets the UF8 apart - you will notice the solid and comfortable nature of the controls, not to mention the superior action of the weighted keyboards too. The CME quality extends throughout.
The UF8 takes things further still with a top-notch hammer-action weighted keyboard with several international patents. This emulates both the feel and response of a real grand piano action making the UF8 the only choice for pianists and those who want the ultimate playing experience. To tailor the UF8 to your playing style and connected sound source, it features an adjustable velocity curve.
The UF8 omits the gimmicks and provides the features you need and the fetaures you will actually use. 8 assignable knobs, 9 assignable sliders, chunky transport controls, split and dual functions, a pitchbend wheel, a modulation wheel, aftertouch and sockets for connecting a sustain pedal, volume pedal and breath controller are all provided.
It may be connected to a PC or Macintosh computer via the supplied USB cable. This provides a MIDI connection to software sequencers and virtual instruments meaning a seperate MIDI interface will not be required. A MIDI out port will appear in your sequencer allowing the UF8 MIDI Out socket to act as a 16 channel MIDI interface for any hardware synthesizers or MIDI sound modules you may have.
The UF8 is also self-powered when connected to a suitable USB port meaning you do not need to plug in the included power supply.
A sustain pedal socket is provided that will accept a standard sustain pedal. The UF8 will automatically sense the polarity of a connected sustain pedal when it is switched on. A piano-style sustain pedal is also included.
A volume pedal input is also provided that will accept continuous controller pedals such as the Fatar StudioLogic VFP/26. The MIDI Controller number transmitted by this is assignable so there are many more options than just using it to control volume.
