Protection Without the Price TagWe know that when you want a subwoofer, it’s so everyone in the room can feel your music. We also know that pushing most subs to their limits for extended periods of time can stress them out – not to mention the ears of your audience members. That’s why we’ve added active, corrective, and protective circuitry to the TH-18s to keep them performing at their best, gig after gig. The efficient Class D amplifier design runs cooler, even when the music is pumping. A transparent compression circuit protects your sub when you occasionally run into clipping, without fear of thermal damage. If things do get too hot out there, thermal sensors shut down the amp section until it’s cool enough to resume safe operation. Finally, an over-excursion filter protects the 18" woofer from bottoming-out when you are really bumping. No need for bodyguards here, the TH-18s has your back.

A Perfect MatchEverybody needs a friend, and the TH-18s has found a life-long buddy in the TAPCO THUMP TH-15A. Together, you have a complete (and completely affordable) "plug and play" active system that is ideal for small club, DJ, or rehearsal applications. There is a pole mount on the TH-18s that allows you to mount the TH-15A directly above the sub and a built-in Stereo High-Pass out on the TH-18s ensures it will work perfectly with the TH-15A, letting each loudspeaker do what it does best.
